Have a few new song ideas ready to record. Some complete, many others waiting for a moment of clarity, or help from a friend...

Recorded on the Tascam MSR16 tape machine. Bryce programmed the drums, played the guitars, wrote the song, and is responsible for the lack of talent. What you hear is raw, no eq or mixing. "Stranger than Strange".

About "Glass Jar" [ Review - ( 0 ) - Write / Read]

Just a song idea that was stuck in my head! I laid down 2 rhythm tracks at our studio on the 16trk tape machine, with a basic drum track. Thought there might be something there, so we dropped it to a disc. I took it home and dropped the disc into my Zoom H4 4 trk. portable recorder on 1 trk.. Wrote a bass line, and dropped in on trk 2 to see if it worked. Added scratch vocals, and scratch lead gtr on another. And what you hear is a rough version, mistakes and all, of what might just turn out to be a good song for us. I'm not being paid by them, but the Zoom H4 MP3 / 4 trk portable recorder is really a great songwriting tool. We use it to record our rehearsals, and jam sessions too. Records for hours on MP3 stereo, and I'm amazed at the tone, and recording quality that it gets using the built in stereo condenser mics. Going to start adding studio tracks to "Glass Jar" soon.
Thanks

Well, Our drummer, Kurt, moved way up North last month! Really gonna miss making music with him, and I'll even miss his smart-**** comments about my songs! However, Jeff and I are busy recording new tunes (with a drum machine for christsake!), and laying down final tracks on some other tunes that we've had in the can. Jeff even bought a drum set, and we plan to lure drummers to the studio with beer, and then force them to record with us! New music soon.
Peace, & out!

Spooled it up on the old tape machine, and found 2 missing guitar tracks, and 1 vocal trk. that weren't on the old demo. Did a 10 minute rough mix, and reloaded it on the site.. Can't wait to send it off for mixdown and mastering.. Hope you enjoy it.

Both of the tunes on this site were recorded at Jeff Halls' "Spooge" Studios. Jeff sync'd a Tascam Msr16, and a Tascam TSR8 together for a total of 22 tracks of analog tape warmth.(1 track on each machine for time code) Here's a partial gear list; Jeff used Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Mustangs, and Hi Flyer guitars. Mesa Boogie, and Marshall amps, GHS Strings, a Reverend Drivetrain OD, and a closet full of other cool stuff on both tracks. On Goodness Goes, Bryce used a 1993 Ibanez RT650 through a 1959 SLP with a 1960AV cab, and an Orange RV50C. Pedals from gtr to amp were: Vintage cry baby / TC boost / 1990 mij TS9 or a TK999 Tube King / AD999 analog delay / Liquid Chorus H2O. Also used a 1972 Tele Thinline on both tunes.
Shure / Audix / AKG / Audio Technica mics / Aphex / dbx / drawmer / Lexicon pre - fx units with a Tascam analog 24trk board. The songs were uploaded just as laid down originally, and haven't been mixed, eq'd, or mastered yet. New full length CD to be completed by Dec., 2006. We are very fire up about the new music, and hope you enjoy it as well. Can't wait to here the final versions!!
Thanks for checking us out!! Support Local Music.. It all starts that way.. Right?
