Portland, Maine has always been a breeding ground for northern New England's finest musicians. The ToneKings fell together after 20 some odd years of playing together in different bands, jamming or sharing club and festival stages. The idea was to play and create the music they love-R&B, soul & funk. Their newly released CD, The ToneKings, was recorded with Dan Merrill at Studio 19 in Portland.
