Kagero Biog
KAGERO is an acoustic rock band influenced by world music, especially from Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe, driven by an aggressive rhythm section. Singer/songwriter KAZ, who has lived in London, Paris and now resides in New York, draws melodic and lyrical ideas from his homeland of Japan and all over the globe. With a line-up of acoustic guitar, harmonica, violin, bass and drums, Kagero pulls their core rock sound from David Bowie and Neil Young, then adds the gypsy flavor of the violin found in the works of Stphane Grappelli.

The Village Voice said this Asian-led act's off the beaten path rock is way over the top! while Time Out New York said Boy, were we ever knocked sideways when we happened upon Kagero! Hailing from New York City, Kagero has played venues like Mercury Lounge and CBGB, and has opened for many national acts including Rasputina, Swati and The Lunachicks.

Currently finishing a demo, Kagero will be gigging heavily through the New York metro area and up and down the east coast through 2007. Kagero is presently unsigned, and will be showcasing their material to indie labels for distribution and promotional support.
