Bo Diddley and Thanksgiving - In 1987, on Thanksgiving Bo Didley was set to play the club and I got a call to go down and open early so Bo had a place to hang. Remember it’s Thanksgiving everything is closed in NY and he checked out of his hotel at 1 in NYC! So I went down about 5 opened up, turned the heat on, got the dressing cleaned and in comes Bo with his Manager. I shake his hand and the manager’s and tell them the heat is kicking in, can I do anything else for you ? . Bo sit’s down looks tiried, the manager a woman by the way said she was going somewhere I don’t really remember and left.

I rented “It May Get Loud” and I must say it was really inspiring and better than I thought it would be. Reminded me off why we play these wooden things to begin with and what brings us all here.The Edge, Jimmy and Jack White are perfectly matched and the best part for me was when Jimmy starts playing “Whole Lotta Love”. The Edge and Jack White have this shit eatin grin on their face like holy shit Jimmy Page is right in front of me playing Whole Lotta Love. Then I noticed and I had the same shit eatin grin on my face ! Really great movie, hit netflick highly recommended !

Is it me or is there some comparison between the old CoC and Clutch ? Maybe its a easier a post grunge thing or a southern thing or just maybe because they both kick ass ?
